Division of Fluid Dynamics

Fluid mechanics describes the movement of liquids or gases. Characteristic phenomena, such as turbulence or heat and mass transport, are just as interesting for aircraft or mechanical engineers as they are for process engineers or physicians. With its current research projects, the department contributes to the strategic research fields of TU Clausthal, especially in the area of "Digitalization" and "Sustainable Energy Systems". In teaching, fluid mechanics is represented as a basic subject in many Bachelor and Master courses. Elective courses offer the possibility to specialize in current research topics. Through our lecturers, our students can also establish contact with non-university research institutions.
